Born and raised outside of Boston, Ive studied with several major art schools including Parsons Paris school, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Pratt Institute in NYC. Along with my formal training I also spent at least 20 years writing graffiti and finding ways to integrate the site specificity and lyrical mark making of graffiti into my studio work.
My current body of work creates a contextual site for graffiti to function in a gallery setting. Collaborrating with several major Boston graffiti writers, I have them pick real life locations and do their graffiti on, and I build them in studio.
Im also currently working a collection of Provincetown miniatures. Im drawn to places and businesses that have transcended their physical location to become local cultural icons. I like making accessable art so all people can enjoy and collect my work.
